Have you completed your Basic Intensive Training in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy with an instructor other than Kim?
The Olver International Basic Practicum in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy is the second step in the process of becoming certified in CT/RT. This practicum is where you begin to dive deeper into the concepts in a more personal way, in the areas that apply to your interests. You may focus on relationships, parenting, counseling, teaching, wellness or managing/supervision. The groups are smaller with a maximum of eight participants and you will begin your journey of application and integration of the concepts. The time investment for basic practicum is 30 hours, with 12-18 hours being face-to-face, either virtual on in person, with your certified practicum supervisor.
Description
This is the second step in the process of being certified in CT/RT. The next steps to complete your training and gain certification include:
- Attend the Advanced Intensive Training. As long as you completed your Basic Intensive Practicum with someone other than Kim, you can join Kim for the Advanced Intensive Training. Completion of the Basic Intensive and Basic Practicum are prerequisites for the Advanced Intensive Training.
- Completion of the Advanced Practicum. As with the Basic Practicum, if you attended the courses with Kim, you will need to find another instructor to do your Advanced Practicum. Again, following the Advanced course, you will be provided with a list of options. Already done the Advanced course with someone else? Join Kim for an Advanced Practicum.
- Once you have completed both courses and the practicums, you will have all the pieces you need to register for the certification four-day event. This is arranged through your local WGI Member Organization.
