I love the start of a new year and all its possibilities. If you’re like me and have a system for setting annual goals, you’re probably eager to dive into 2025. Planning my year and writing down my goals gives me a thrill—and holds me accountable.
How 2024 Stacked Up
Accomplishments
- I completed my trauma training, maintaining my Clinical Trauma Specialist credential.
- Together with Sylvester Baugh, we created an Ethics CE as a CCE BCC provider.
- I crocheted a blanket for Zavier and gave it to him for Christmas.
- I stayed open to dating, but nothing long-term developed—still, I remain open.
- I spent quality time with six of my eight grandchildren (two postponed until after wrestling season).
- I conducted nine Basic Choice Theory Trainings, one Advanced Training, and several Practicum Groups.
- I spoke about Mental Freedom® to podcast hosts, two drug and alcohol rehab programs, a counseling group in NW Indiana, attendees at the WGI International Conference in Chicago, and a business group from the Southland Development Authority.
- I held a book reading and signing at the Cooperage in Honesdale, PA.
- Cook County Social Services invited me back to train new facilitators of my Empowerment Parenting program.
- My team and I invested in three new Mental Freedom applications:
- Reentry Plus, powered by Mental Freedom (led by Tony Lamar2)
- A Mental Freedom Devotional (with Sylvester Baugh and Denise Daub)
- Mental Freedom for College Students (created by a group of Mental Freedom Certified Specialists)
- On July 1, I published Mental Freedom, now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers.
Rollovers
- My lifelong goal is to influence 2,000,000 people with Mental Freedom to help eliminate self-created misery.
- I plan to visit another “Kimberly” in 2024 (likely Kimberly, Alabama, in October).
- I didn’t focus on my weight this year, but I plan to do better in 2025 with spiritual support.
- Selling my Pennsylvania house has been expensive and time-consuming, but I have a buyer and a closing date scheduled for late January.
Self-Evaluation
I’m satisfied with my 2024 progress and excited to move into 2025. In business, my “One Thing” is Mental Freedom; in my personal life, it’s releasing unwanted weight. I’m blessed with excellent health, which can make it harder to prioritize weight loss, but 2025 is the year to change that. My word for 2025 will be renewal, reset, or revival—I’ll choose soon. Let me know if you have a preference!
My Goals for 2025
- Establish Proof of Concept for Mental Freedom
Work with the Georgia Center for Opportunity and the University of Georgia to move Mental Freedom toward evidence-based practice. - Release 25+ Pounds

I like having 12 goals—about one per month—though most will span the entire year. I’m also flexible, knowing new priorities might emerge, but I’m committed to moving forward. Will you help hold me accountable?
