The Olver International Basic Intensive Training in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy is the first step in the process of becoming certified in CT/RT. Our Basic Intensive Training includes a minimum of 24 hours of training and covers the basics of Choice Theory psychology and the process of Reality Therapy, along with some practice in the application of the concepts you learn.
The next Basic Intensive Training we are offering begins in September, on Zoom, in 3-hour weekly sessions. The dates and times are in Central time:
September 11, 1-4 PM
September 17, 1–4 PM
October 2, 1–4 PM
October 9, 1–4 PM
October 23, 1–4 PM
October 30, 1–4 PM
November 6, 1-4 PM
November 13, 1-4 PM
Description
This is the first step in the process of becoming certified in CT/RT. The next steps To complete your training and gain certification include:
- Completion of the Basic Practicum. If you take the Basic Intensive Course with Kim, you will need to complete this practicum elsewhere. Following the end of the Basic Intensive Training, you will be given recommendations on where you can go to find a Practicum suited to your needs. Already done the Basic with someone else? Join Kim for a Practicum.
- Attend the Advanced Intensive Training. Once you have completed the Basic Intensive and the Basic Practicum, you can join Kim for the Advanced Intensive Training.
- Completion of the Advanced Practicum. As with the Basic Practicum, if you attended the courses with Kim, you will need to find another instructor to do your Advanced Practicum. Again, following the Advanced course, you will be provided with a list of options. Already done the Advanced course with someone else? Join Kim for an Advanced Practicum.
- Once you have completed both courses and the practicums, you will have all the pieces you need in order to apply for the final certification session, which is scheduled through your local WGI Member Organization.
